Chelone glabra is a herbaceous plant found in wetlands and riparian forests [1] of eastern North America with opposite, simple leaves, on stout, upright stems. The flowers are borne in late summer and early fall.
This is a variable plant: its flowers can be white, tinged with purple or pink, totally pink or totally purple.
